The Copper City 12U All-Star softball team takes home this week’s Leskovar Honda Athletes of the Week Honors.
The accolades come after the All-Stars placed second at the state tournament last week in Billings. The Butte girls competed in a best-of-three series against the Boulder-Arrowhead/Big Sky All-Stars, who will move on to San Bernardina, California.
The team came out fast in each game with Rigby Bauer starting on the mound the first game and Brea Henderson starting the second game. Both were strong in the circle with catchers Reagan Warren and Natalie Osterman behind the plate.
This year’s All-Star team consisted of many excellent softball players. They were great teammates and leaders through the entire season and represented Copper City Softball very well. They all played strong wherever they were placed and also aggressively hit when they were up to bat.
The Butte All-Star team included Reagan Warren, Ellison Graham, Braelynn Schelin, Rigby Bauer, Kodee Badovinac, Brea Henderson, Cliry Conway, Natalie Osterman, Evyn Tippett, Taylor Regan, and Jordynn Giop.
The team is coached by Amanda Badovinac, David Schelin and Joe Warren.
Leskovar Honda, home of the 20-year, 200,000-mile warranty, teamed up with the ButteCast to honor the finest student-athletes from the Mining City in an effort to encourage more children to get up, get out and try all kinds of sports and activities.
