Butte High student athletes Nolan Casey and Brityn Stewart are this week’s Leskovar Honda Athletes of the Week.
The accolades come after the Bulldogs opened the football and volleyball seasons over the weekend.
Casey, a 6-foot, 195-pound senior linebacker, takes home the boys’ honor after his stellar performance helped the Bulldogs come from behind to beat Billings West 21-17 Friday at Daylis Stadium in Billings.
In the victory, Casey registered six tackles, including two tackles for a loss. He also picked up a sack for the Bulldogs.
Stewart, a 5-foot-8 junior, receives the girls’ honor after a strong performance to lead the Bulldogs volleyball team, which opened the season with matches at Billings West and Billings Senior on Saturday.
She registered 10 kills with a .35 hitting percentage. She served an ace, collected 14 digs and recorded two blocks.
Leskovar Honda, home of the 20-year, 200,000-mile warranty, teamed up with the ButteCast to honor the finest athletes from the Mining City in an effort to encourage more children to get up, get out and try all kinds of sports and activities.
