Butte High Bulldogs Elli Quist and Bo Demarais are this week’s Leskovar Honda Athletes of the Week.
Quist takes home the girls’ honor after she started the soccer season on a high note. Through four games, Quist already has two goals on the season.
“She leaves everything on the field, no questions asked,” Butte High coach Eric Zahler said of Quist, who has been a fixture in the Bulldog lineup since her freshman year.
Quist and the Bulldogs will be back on the home pitch Sept. 19 to take on Missoula Big Sky. Butte High plays at Kalispell Flathead and Glacier this weekend.
Demarais receives the boys’ honor after leading the Bulldogs in an improbable 28-27 win over No. 1-ranked Glacier Friday at Naranche Stadium. He threw for 286 yards, including three fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Rueso Batterman, as the Bulldogs overcame a 21-0 fourth quarter deficit.
His last TD was a 43-yard strike that gave the Bulldogs the lead for good with 37 seconds left, electrifying the Naranche crowd. He also threw TDs of 23 and 57 yards.

Leskovar Honda, home of the 20-year, 200,000-mile warranty, teamed up with the ButteCast to honor the finest athletes from the Mining City in an effort to encourage more children to get up, get out and try all kinds of sports and activities.
