Ben Cort, an author, speaker and advocate known for his work in the field of addiction and substance abuse, will give a free lecture from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Montana Tech’s Big Butte Room, which is located in the Student Union Building.
Cort brings to town a unique perspective to his advocacy efforts. He has authored books such as “Weed, Inc.: The Truth About TCH, the Pot Lobby, and the Commercial Marijuana Industry.” In that book, Cort explores the commercialization of marijuana and its impact on society.
Through his work, Cort aims to educate the public about the realities of addiction and advocate for policies that prioritize public health and safety. In this thought-provoking session, Cort will shed light on the dangers that commercialized marijuana can pose, particularly in our communities, schools and households.
