Butte High seniors Colton Shea and Dylann Bartoletti are this week’s Leskovar Honda Athletes of the Week.

The honors come after a huge week by both outstanding athletes.

Shea is the boys’ honoree after having a hand in five touchdowns as Butte High rolled to a 41-10 Homecoming win over Kalispell Flathead at Naranche Stadium.

Shea completed 20 of 25 passes for 331 yards and four touchdowns. That included an 80-yard strike to Cayde Stajcar on the first play from scrimmage. He threw touchdown passes to Hudson Luedtke, Sam Sampson and Karson Pumnea, too.

The quarterback also punched in a run on the ground.

Through five games, Shea has passed for 12 touchdowns. He has two more scores on the ground. He has completed 63 percent of his passes on the year.

The Bulldogs will play on the road at Missoula Sentinel and Missoula Hellgate the next two weeks.

Bartoletti takes home the girls’ honor after rolling to victory at the Western AA Divisional Golf Tournament in Missoula. Bartoletti followed an 85 at Larchmont Golf Course with a 91 at Canyon River Golf Club for a 176 total. That beat second-place Olivia McGreevey of Helena Capital by five shots.

The remarkable thing about Bartoletti’s divisional title is that she missed her entire junior season rehabbing from a knee injury so she could contribute to Butte High’s basketball team.

“I can’t even imagine how strong she would have been this year,” Butte High coach Eric Mankins said, if Bartoletti didn’t miss her junior year. “She has not even scratched the surface.”

The coach added that Bartoletti is a standout in the classroom, too. He called her the “total package.”

Bartoletti and the Bulldogs will play at the Class AA State meet this week in Kalispell.

For the second year, Leskovar Honda, home of the 20-year, 200,000-mile warranty, is teaming up with the ButteCast to honor the finest student-athletes from the Mining City in an effort to encourage more children to get up, get out and try all kinds of sports and activities.
