Butte High basketball players Cadence Graham and Dylan “Bobby” Bache are this week’s Leskovar Honda Athletes of the Week.

Both players were nominated by their head coaches for the honor.

Graham receives the girls’ honor after leading the Bulldogs to a 49-46 win over Billings Skyview in Butte High’s home opener at the Richardson Gyn. The sophomore hit four 3-pointers and scored 18 of her game-high 22 points in the first half of the victory.

On the game, Graham shot a perfect 8 for 8 from the free throw line. Graham has been a key contributor to the Bulldog varsity team since she was an eighth grader.

Bache takes home the boys’ honor after scoring 21 points in 22 minutes of Butte High’s 80-47 win on the road against defending Class A State champion Dillon. The senior made 9 of 11 shots from the field. That includes a 3-for-3 performance from behind the 3-point line.

Bache, whose nickname comes from the movie “The Waterboy,” has been a varsity force for Butte High since his freshman season.

Leskovar Honda, home of the 20-year, 200,000-mile warranty, is teaming up with the ButteCast to honor the finest student-athletes from the Mining City in an effort to encourage more children to get up, get out and try all kinds of sports and activities.
