This week’s Leskovar Honda Athletes of the Week are our area sports officials.

We all love to cheer on our sons, daughters, grandchildren, nieces and nephews as they take the playing field or court. Without the officials, however, that would not be possible. Without the refs, as they say, it would just be recess.

These hard-working men and women study the rules of their sports, and they often work through injuries to make sure the games can go on in a safe-and-fair manner.
