Blaise Olson booted a 36-yard field goal as time expired Friday night at Naranche Stadium to give the Missoula Sentinel a 10-7 Western AA win over Butte High.

Rudy Hess tossed a 33-yard touchdown pass to Jayce Eby on Sentinel’s first possession of the game. The play came on fourth down.

Raeder Grey scored on a 4-yard quarterback keeper late in the third quarter to tie the game.

In his first start at quarterback, Grey passed for 141 yards. He hit Kaleb Celli five times for 61 yards. Hudson Luedtke caught four passes for 77 yards.

Mitch Verlanic had a monster game again to lead the Bulldog defense. He registered 16 total tackles, 10 of which were solo. Luedtke and Fin Wortham each got in on 13 tackles, while Jaeger Hanson collected.

Butte also got nine tackles from Gunner Bushman and six apiece from Grady Foley and Bradey Doyle.

Butte High will play host to Helena High next Friday night. The game will start at 7:30 p.m. as Butte High celebrates Silver B’s Night.
