DILLON — Four Butte Central wrestlers have qualified for the last weekend of the season.
Junior Jack Holmes and eighth graders Braydon Armstrong, Jace Rauch and Jampel Hanley extended their season Saturday at the Western A Divisional meet at the B.W. Lodge Gym.
Hanley led the way for the Maroons, placing second at 103 pounds. He fell to Caleb Weldon of Frenchtown in the first period of the title bout. The top eight in each weight class move on to the All-Class State tournament next Thursday through Saturday in Billings.
Armstrong placed seventh at 118 pounds, Rauch took eighth at 103 pounds, and Holmes took eight at 132 pounds.

Hello, I’m super excited about the maroons wrestlers making it to state. I wanted to recognize Amira Gonzales at 125 for Central, who also qualified for state taking fourth place at divisionals.
