BOZEMAN — The Anaconda Copperheads will not bring home the state title from the Class B State boys’ basketball tournament at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.
JJ Bends scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Lodge Grass to a 68-51 win over the Western B champion Copperheads in Friday night’s semifinals. (Stats)
Colvin Wyles added 13 points, and TJ Gros Ventre tossed in 13 in the win. Trestib Cole added six points and 11 rebounds.
Shane Shalk scored 18 points to pace the Copperheads. The senior also grabbed eight rebounds.
Ryder Anderson contributed with 14 points, while Kyson Patrick scored eight, and Tretyon Patrich tossed in six.
Anaconda can still bring home some hardware from the tournament, however.
The Copperheads will play St. Labre in a 10:30 a.m. loser-out game on Saturday. The winner of that game will head to the 5 p.m. third-place game.
