Butte Central junior Mollie Drew and Butte High freshman Hudson Luedtke were named the Leskovar Honda Athletes of the Week.

Drew takes home the girls’ honor after a season that saw her get better and better each week. By the end of the regular season, Drew was a bona fide force inside for the Maroons. 

Her best game came late in the season when she scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to key a 57-45 win at Livingston.

On the season, Drew averaged 8.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.

“Mollie Drew has established herself as a dominant forward in our conference,” BC coach Quinn Carter said.  “During her junior season Mollie stepped into a major leadership role for our program and works extremely hard. I’m looking forward to her senior season.”

Luedtke takes home the boys’ honor after a huge performance m Butte High’s 79-58 road win at Missoula Sentinel. The point guard scored 29 points to lead all scorers in the victory.

Luedke is averaging a team-leading 15.1 points per game. He is also averaging more than 5 rebounds per game and nearly 4 assists. He has been particularly hot as of late, scoring 75 points over Butte High’s last three games.

“He always plays hard and he hates to lose,” Bulldog coach Matt Luedtke said of his son and star player. “He is a pleasure to coach.”
