Butte High’s baseball and softball teams will both open their Class AA State tournaments at 4 p.m. Thursday.

The baseball tournament will be held at 3 Legends Stadium in Butte, while the softball tournament will be played at Forth Missoula Regional Park in Missoula. Saturday’s softball championship game will be played at the University of Montana stadium.

In the softball tournament, the Bulldogs will open against Billings West, the No. 1 seed from the Eastern AA. Butte High is the No. 4 seed from the Western AA. (Bracket)

Note that the baseball bracket has been flipped so the hometown Bulldogs will play later in the day on Thursday. Other media outlets have not recognized that change.
