The inaugural Class AA State baseball tournament will now be a two-day event at Copper Mountain Park, tournament officials announced this morning. (Updated bracket)

The tournament bracket has been adjusted to complete the tournament by Friday night because of the wet forecast on Saturday. That means that Field 4 at the complex will be used in addition to Miners Field at 3 Legends Stadium.

No third-place game will be played. The two teams that advance that far on the consolation side of the bracket will share third-place honors.

No changes have been made to today’s schedule.

Butte High will open the tournament today at 4 p.m. against Gallatin, the top seed from the Eastern AA.  A win will send Butte High to a 1:30 p.m. semifinal game Friday. A loss would mean an 8:30 a.m. game on Friday.

The way the bracket is set up, all of Butte High’s games will be played inside 3 Legends Stadium.
