Since they are making us turn our clocks back an hour at 2 a.m. Sunday, we have an extra hour this weekend. So, tonight I thought I’d jump in with an extra episode to fill in that hour, and a little bit more.
It’s not a podcast about the Boston Red Sox, I promise. It just might seem like that at times.
Conor Lowney and Matt Yelenich have been friends since they were teammates on their seventh-grade basketball team at East Middle School.
Today, they work together at Lowney Home and Stone, which is located at 223 E. Park Street, across the street from Sparky’s Garage. You might remember the business when it was named The Craftsman’s Corner.
Conor bought the business that was shuttered for a couple of years, and the first person he called to help him out was Matt. Now, the two 2005 Butte High graduates are doing good work as they bring new cabinets and counters tops to Butte homes.
While they work, they also talk a lot about their shared passion — and tormentor — the Boston Red Sox.
Earlier tonight, Conor and Matt showed me around their shop, and then we went to the vault at the Metals Sports Bar & Grill for a fun conversation.
Listen in to hear how these two became friends and why they each got three nights of in-school suspension when they were teammates at East. Listen in as they talk about their long friendship and why things are going so well at work.
Listen in to hear why the three of us are frustrated Red Sox fans, even though we’ve been blessed with four World Series titles.
Today’s episode is presented by Leskovar Honda, home of the non-commission sales staff that always has your back.
