The Butte High Bulldogs bounced back in a big way Friday night.

Miner Lee ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns, and Raeder Grey passed for a pair of scores as the Bulldogs evened their non-conference record at 1-1 with a 38-15 win over Billings Skyview at Naranche Stadium. (Stats)

Butte Central, meanwhile, dropped a 22-14 decision to Hardin on the road. The home team scored 10 late points to erase a 14-12 BC lead.

Butte High built a 24-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Lee scored on a 14-yard run and a 1-yard plunge in the first quarter. He added an 11-yard scamper in the second.

Grey found Brady Walsh for an 11-yard strike before hitting Ryan Bache for a 19-yard score.

Lee did his damage on 26 carries. Zavier Jory added 39 yards on the ground. Grey completed 10 of 13 passes for 105 yards. He found Bache four times for 44 yards. Lee, Kodye Kjersten, Beau Henderson and Koda Schleeman also caught passes.

Jaeger Hanson registered eight total tackles to lead the Bulldogs.

Butte High will hit the road next week to open Western AA play against defending Class AA State champion Kalispell Glacier. Butte High’s next home game will be Sept. 18 against Missoula Big Sky. The Bulldogs will celebrate homecoming and Silver B’s Night that week.

Next week is homecoming week for Butte Central. They Maroons will battle Ronan on the Bob Green Field.
